Affordable compounded semaglutide: your questions

What is the most affordable compounded semaglutide?

On an annual plan, Embody publishes $69 a month and PreventiveMD $83. Month to month, PreventiveMD is $119 at every dose. NexLife is $139 month to month or $119 on 12 months, at every dose, with care included, and if you pay less with another licensed U.S. telehealth provider, we match your price.

How much is a year of compounded semaglutide?

At NexLife, $1,668 month to month or $1,428 on a 12-month plan. The Wegovy pen at self-pay prices runs about $3,888 in its first year.

Can I spread out the cost of semaglutide?

Yes. NexLife accepts Klarna and Afterpay at checkout, and HSA and FSA cards.

Is a cheaper semaglutide plan a weaker dose?

A plan’s price doesn’t set your dose; your provider does. At NexLife, every dose from 0.25 mg to 2.4 mg costs the same.

How much does a 12-month plan save at NexLife?

$240 a year on semaglutide: $119 a month instead of $139.

What makes semaglutide hard to afford?

Brand-name prices without coverage, membership fees and prices that rise with the dose. A flat, all-in price avoids all three.

Important safety information

Compounded tirzepatide and semaglutide are not FDA-approved, and the FDA hasn’t reviewed them for safety, effectiveness or quality. Both medicines may cause thyroid tumors, including cancer: don’t use either if you or a family member has had medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) or multiple endocrine neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2).

Read the full safety information

In studies with rodents, both medicines caused thyroid tumors; it isn’t known whether they cause them in people. Tell your provider if you notice a lump or swelling in your neck, hoarseness, trouble swallowing or shortness of breath.

Serious side effects can include inflammation of the pancreas (pancreatitis), gallbladder problems, low blood sugar (especially with insulin or sulfonylureas), kidney problems from dehydration, severe stomach problems, serious allergic reactions, vision changes in people with type 2 diabetes, and depression or thoughts of suicide. Tell your care team before any surgery or procedure that uses anesthesia or deep sedation. Don’t combine either medicine with other GLP-1 medicines.

Tirzepatide can make birth control pills less effective: use another method for 4 weeks after you start and after each dose increase. Semaglutide should be stopped at least 2 months before a planned pregnancy. Tell your provider if you’re pregnant, planning to be, or breastfeeding.

This is a summary, not the complete safety information. Read the full Prescribing Information for FDA-approved tirzepatide (Zepbound) and semaglutide (Wegovy), and talk with your provider. You can report side effects to the FDA at 1-800-FDA-1088 or fda.gov/medwatch.
